And Funen is close to our hearts. This is where we discovered Danish wine. Past Falsled Kro and through winding roads, we visited Agger Vin in the summer of 2022 and had an unforgettable experience. In addition, there are a large number of hobby growers who produce wine for their own needs. They are distributed across Funen and in the Funen Archipelago. Both Langeland and \u00c6r\u00f8 have commercial growers.<br><br>If anyone in the <a href=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/en\/\"> <strong>wine production in Denmark<\/strong> <\/a> Funen wineries are experimenting. They make both Clairet &#8211; deliberately &#8211; and Pinot Noir. Yes, you read that right &#8211; Pinot Noir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We mentioned in the beginning <strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/agger-vin-besoeg-en-vingaard-paa-sydvestfyn\/\">Agger Vin<\/a> <\/strong>where the Agger brothers live and in addition to wine, you can also play Parkgolf (a Japanese invention). Kimesbjergg\u00e5rd and Langedil Vin are two other interesting wineries with a smaller production (around 2,000 vines each).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The vineyards of the South Funen Archipelago<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We visited cozy Mads at Tranek\u00e6r last year and tried his excellent Clairet. It&#8217;s definitely worth a visit to have a wine tasting at his farm. As a curiosity, Magleb\u00f8lle Ving\u00e5rd on Midtfyn also focuses on Clairet. On one of Denmark&#8217;s most beautiful islands, \u00c6r\u00f8, lies \u00c6r\u00f8 Vin, which promises to be an exciting project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/tranekaer-vin-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2792\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-scaled.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-800x1067.jpg 800w, https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/tranekaer-vin-64x85.jpg 64w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We enjoy a good glass of red wine from Mads in Tranek\u00e6r. The bottles are smaller, and Mads can tell you that story when you visit him<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Stokkebye and Pinot Noir<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can actually make Pinot Noir in Denmark. It has<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/en\/by-stokkebye\/\">By Stokkebye<\/a> <\/strong> proven. Jacob Stokkebye changed his job as a waiter at Kong Hans and became a winegrower. And in 2023, we got to taste his Pinot Noir. This is going to be one of the most exciting wineries to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klitgaard Vin is one of the oldest wineries from 2004. They primarily make sparkling Pinot Noir. You can read more about them<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/swedishwine.com\/klitgaard-vin-besoeg-en-vingaard-ved-odense\/\">here<\/a> <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Should You Know Before Visiting a Funen Winery?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you go, it&#8217;s a good idea to check the winery&#8217;s opening hours and book a visit if necessary. At By Stokkebye, for example, you need to book well in advance for their caviar events. Also consider the winery&#8217;s location in relation to other attractions. Are there hiking opportunities in the area, or perhaps a nearby town worth visiting?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Your Next Funen Wine Experience Awaits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you&#8217;re armed with all the knowledge you need to explore Funen&#8217;s vineyards.
